Last Minute Valentine’s Crafting #1 – Valentine’s 2020

With only a few days left until Valentine’s Day I have been doing some last minute crafting and I thought I would share my makes with you.

The Heart Foil Tins are brilliant for last minute projects and they can be used for many occasions not only Valentine’s. 

The red and silver foil tins are a good size (3½” x 3 5/16″ x 1 3/16″ or 8.9 x 8.4 x 3 cms) and they come with high domed clear lids.  I have put 3 Ferrero Rocher in mine but you can fit lots inside. 

When I had finished decorating the lid with the Heart Doilies I decided to make a box for it in Read Red and Flirty Flamingo, the same colours as the doilies.

The sentiments and heart shaped balloon are from the Forever Blossoms stamp set and Special Someone stamp set and they were all stamped in Real Red ink.

To make this 3¾” x 3 ½” x 2″ Box*

Cardstock for the Box – Flirty Flamingo 11 ½” x 7 ¾”.  Score the long side at 2″, 5 ½”, 7 ½” and 11″.  Score the short side at 2″ on both sides.

Front and Back of the Box – 2 pieces of cardstock 3 5/8″ x 1 7/8″

Sides of the Box – 2 pieces of cardstock 3 3/8″ x 1 7/8″

*When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin’ Up! cardstock.   I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made and it doesn’t help that I have dyscalculia. 

When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock.*
