Craftroom Organisation – Ink Pad Storage

Earlier this year I treated myself to some Distress Oxide inks and they were so lovely to work with that I asked for money for my birthday, valentines, Easter etc. so that I could buy some more.

I like all my ink pads to be together so I would need to make more storage.

My Stampin’ Up! ink pads are stored in a wooden box with inserts that I made for them.  This is the first one I made back in April 2016.

My SU ink pad collection has grown over the last couple of years and I had a few retired In Color ink pads that I had put in a drawer but as I was making new storage I thought I might as well have all the ink pads together.  I worked out the size of the holders I would need for the Stampin’ Up! ink pads, Distress Oxide ink pads and Memento/StazOn ink pads.  I grabbed some thick white cardstock and started cutting.

After doing all the cutting, I scored all the cardstock then did the folding and burnishing.  Once that was all done I cut and notched all the tabs.

I had to leave the holders for a while because I needed to get on with making the wedding stationery but I eventually managed to finish making all of them.

It took quite a while to put all the holders together and then glue them on top of each other but it was worth it.  I eventually had all my ink pads together and I was a very, very happy girl.

Craftroom Organisation – Storage for stampin up, memento, stazon, distress and distress oxide Ink Pads – by Dee Copus-Read, Lady Dee Crafts

When the colour revamp happened SU bought out lots of pretty new colours and we had some returning colours including my all-time favourite Blackberry Bliss.  This meant I had a lot of retired ink pads and I couldn’t part with them so I moved them to the box on the left and labelled them all with an ‘R’ to remind me they were retired.

I will have to make some more storage for the new ink pads because the new cases are slightly smaller.

I hope you enjoyed todays project.  If you would like to receive further projects via email enter your email address in the subscription link at the top of the right hand column.

Have yourself some crafting fun.

*When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin’ Up! cardstock. I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made. When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock.*
