Christine’s Magnetic Peacock Card

Last month I made this beautiful Thank You card for my good friend Christine but I wasn’t going to share it because I used non-Stampin’ Up! products.

When we spend time on a focal image I think it’s better to turn it into a magnet that can be used/seen rather than a card that will end up in a box or the bin.  I thought you might like this idea too so I changed my mind about sharing it.

After colouring and adhering the feathers I  used a turquoise alcohol marker to colour several small rhinestones and add 1 onto each feather.  I used a bone folder to curl the feather to give them some dimension.

It did take quite a bit of time to do the feathers but it was definitely worth it.

To temporarily adhere the magnet to the card I used a couple of mini glue dots.

I am so pleased with how this card turned out and Christine loved it too.  Do you?

I will be back soon with another project.

Have yourself some crafting fun.
