Brusho & Shaving Foam Cards

Thank you for joining me today.  If you follow my blog you will have seen the backgrounds I created when I added Brusho Crystals to some shaving foam.  I had fun doing it, even though it got a bit messy, and every background I made was different.

I die-cut and punched some of the backgrounds so that I could make flowers and butterflies to put on the front of cards.

Today I would like to share with you the cards I came up with.

I love how all these cards turned out.  My favourite is the last card with all the flowers and butterflies.  Which one is your favourite?

Details of each card

With this background piece I used my favourite butterfly die.  It’s a Sizzix die called the Rare Butterfly.  This butterfly is so pretty.

To add some texture I embossed a piece of Powder Pink cardstock using the Petal Burst embossing folder.  I also embossed the flap of the envelope.

I added the sentiment To a wonderful friend which  is from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set.

After adhering the butterfly I added some rhinestones to the body and to the wings.

With this piece I die-cut the medium sized butterfly in the Butterfly Thinlits dies and punched 2 flowers using the Pansy punch.  Both these items are retiring at the end of May.

I applied Blushing Bride ink to the embossing folder and embossed the Blushing Bride cardstock.  I also embossed the envelope flap.

I can’t remember where I got the ‘Lets celebrate you day’ sentiment.  The floral image is from the Label Me Pretty stamp set and I used the co-ordinating Pretty Label punch.

I also added a few rhinestones on the butterfly.

I punched 4 pansy’s from this piece and also die-cut the solid butterfly that is underneath the butterfly in the card above.

I stamped one of the flower images from the Flower Shop stamp set onto a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock.  After cutting it I added dimensionals to the back of both pieces.  I stamped the flower on the front of the envelope too.

The strip of cardstock that was left over after cutting it is adhered inside the card.

I layered the punched pansy pieces and added a large faceted gem to the centre of each flower.

I used Pear Pizzazz cardstock and the Leaf punch for the leaves.  The washi tape is from The Works.

I thought this piece was too pretty to die-cut so I used it for the background of a card.

I used the Grateful Bunch stamp set and co-ordinating punch for the flowers. Unfortunately both of these are now retired.

The flowers were stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock with 2nd  generation Sweet Sugarplum ink.  This is one of the In Colors that retires at the end of this month.  I also stamped the large flower inside the card and on the front of the envelope.

I used Pear Pizzazz cardstock and the Leaf punch for the leaves.

For the butterflies I punched them in Very Vanilla cardstock and vellum.  I added small pearls to all of the butterflies.
