As soon as I saw the Brusho Crystal Colours in the catalogue I had this urge to see what would happen when they were added to shaving foam.
It’s taken a while for me to get round to trying it but I think it was well worth the wait.
Several years ago Geoff did a Degree in Art and he bought the Brusho Starter Kit in the art shop on campus. He used them several times and then a couple of years ago he gave them to me and showed me how to use them. I used them for a few backgrounds and then put them in the drawer. When I saw them in the catalogue I remembered I still had them and I hadn’t tried the shaving foam technique with them.
I tried doing a couple of backgrounds but the Brusho crystals didn’t react in the same way with the shaving foam as they do with water, they just sat on top of the shaving foam.
I spritzed some water onto the shaving foam and it was when I moved the cardstock around that it started to give some lovely effects.
I die-cut several butterflies and used the Pansy Punch to make several flowers with 3 of the backgrounds. I have also made a card where I used the whole panel as the background. The Stampin’ Up! Butterfly dies and Pansy punch are on the retiring list and will retire at the end of May.
