I was really excited to receive a request to make a project using the Beautiful You stamp set.
This is the first request I’ve had and luckily I had the stamp set Marina wanted me to use so I was more than happy to make a project for her.
Marina won the Global competition I held a while back and we’ve kept in touch. She said she loves the beautiful ladies but was struggling with how to use them in projects.
When Marina told me she was planning a trip to Paris to meet up with friends I remembered the Paris layout in the Sizzix Hipster Doodles colouring book I had. The colouring page was the inspiration for my card.
I coloured and fussy cut the Eiffel Tower that was in the colouring book. The lady was stamped onto thick white cardstock and also onto a scrap of DSP then I fussy cut the DSP dress and hat and adhered it onto the cardstock lady.
The Large Letters Framelits dies were the perfect size for the P, R and S.
For the background I used the My Favourite Things Cloud Stencil and Soft Sky Ink.
The tag is from The Blandford Intricutz dies set and was die-cut from a scrap of thick white cardstock.
The Eiffel Tower was adhered directly to the cardbase, the lady, the tag and the large letters are popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Marina for requesting the Beautiful You project, this is a great stamp set and I haven’t used it as much as I should have. I’m so pleased it’s carrying over into the new annual catalogue that goes live on June 1st.
I really enjoyed making the card and I had fun playing with my new Distress Oxide inks, they were so easy to blend. I emailed a photo of the card to Marina and she loves it. If you have a request please let me know.

Directions*
I used thick white cardstock for:-
- A5 Cardbase
- Large Letters
- Stamped image
- The tag
Colouring
I coloured the Eiffel Tower with Spectrum Illustrator TN7 & TN9 alcohol markers and the Ivory and Bronze Stampin’ Blends. After colouring I fussy cut it.
After die-cutting the P, R and S I used the Tattered Rose and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Inks and a mini blending tool to colour them I spritzed the letters with a shimmer mist and then dabbed them with a clean paper towel.
I used the same Distress Oxide inks to colour the tag and then heat embossed Bon Voyage with Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder.
*When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin’ Up! cardstock. I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made. When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock.*
