A few days ago I made a Wedding Countdown plaque for my son TJ and his fiancée Hayley for the InspireINK wedding themed blog hop.
While I was making it I kept thinking about it only being used once so I decided to make another one that could be used for many occasions.
“Why not make another one?” I said to myself (yes I talk to myself when I’m in my craftroom). I had everything I needed so I might as well make 2. I tried to get both of them finished in time for the hop but I didn’t get the 2nd box finished it time.
This is the Wedding Countdown plaque and gift box I made for TJ and Hayley. When they came round on Sunday I gave them their gift and they both loved it. There are lots of great wedding themed projects on the hop that you might want to check out, click here to see them.
I wasn’t sure which colour to use for this plaque but in the end I chose Wisteria Wonder because it’s retiring at the end of May. I love the Tranquil Tulips stamp set so I bought that out again before it retires too.
You could use this plaque for counting down to a special birthday, a big anniversary, your retirement, your once in a lifetime holiday, becoming parents, becoming grandparents etc. I love the idea that this plaque could be used year after year because the occasions are endless. I am also going to make a Christmas themed plaque for counting how many sleeps til Christmas.
On December 2nd Geoff and I will celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary so for now I’m going to use the plaque to count how many days there are until we celebrate this amazing occasion with our family and friends.
