I love Alcohol Markers for colouring but about a year ago I thought I would try colouring pencils and to my surprise I really enjoyed it.
I have had M.E. and Fibromyalgia for 15+ years and on the days when I can’t get out of bed I colour, I have a stack of stamped images that I keep with my pencils. When I have a ‘good day’ I make cards, boxes or bags and add my coloured images.
Pencils can be expensive, especially if you want to buy the full range of colours, so with this in mind I decided to set myself a challenge.
Could I colour an image using no more than 2 pencils?

I love this little frog, he is so cute and I couldn’t wait to colour him. I didn’t know if I could get the different shades I needed with just 2 pencils but I gave it a try.
The 2 pencils I used were Prismacolor PC935 Black and PC989 Chartreuse. I am really surprised and pleased with the different shades I got.

I have collected lots of beautiful stamps over the years and I prefer to use those rather than buying colouring books.
I enjoyed this challenge so much I have decided to do a series and see how many stamped images I can colour with just 2 pencils.

I would love you to join in too. Maybe you will surprise yourself.
You can email photo’s of your 2 pencil colour challenge by clicking here (please add 2 Pencil Colour Challenge as the subject) or share them on the Lady Dee’s Craft Forum Facebook page. With your permission, I will showcase your creations here on my website.

TIP: When I stamp an image I stamp it on watercolour paper, Neenah Classic cardstock (for alcohol markers) and normal cardstock. I do this so that if I’m in a watercolour mood I already have the image ready and waiting.
I also use specific inks for the different colouring mediums I’m going to use.
The frog is from the So Hoppy Together stamp set which is one of the Sale-A-Bration items you can get for FREE when you spend £45 before March 31st, 2019.
