Last weekend I was photographing all the projects I’d made and it dawned on me they were ALL cards so Monday was a ‘designated design day’. After a few hours I had designed 3 gift boxes, 2 gift bags and 2 treat bags. I also wrote down the colour of cardstock, DSP and stamps I would use for each project.
The fly agarics are what drew me to the Painted Seasons DSP, I always think of fairies when I see them. Because I was itching to use this design I had to make this box first and isn’t it adorable?
You will find all the dimensions along with a list of products I have used at the bottom of this post and all the products are available to purchase in my Online Store.
I like to make gift boxes and gift bags that can be stored flat until I’m ready to use them. I also prefer to leave the sentiment until I know who it’s for or what occasion it will be used for.
I hope you like my cute fold-flat box, maybe it will inspire you to make some. They are easy to make and I had lots of fun making it.

Dimensions*
Poppy Parade cardstock: 9½” x 7¾”.
Score the long side at 2¼”, 4½”, 6¾” & 9″. Score the short side at ½”, 2¾”, 5″ & 7¼”.
Painted Seasons DSP: 2″ x 12″.
Cut 5 panels that measure 2″ x 2″. These are for the front, back, sides and top of the box.
With the remaining piece of DSP I used the 1 1/8″ Scallop Circle Punch to punch one of the toadstools for the topper.
The finished dimensions of the box are 2¼” (w) x 2¼” (h) x 2¼” (d)
*When making any project I recommend you make it with cheap cardstock first because when someone is typing up lots of measurements mistakes can be made, we are human after all. I do double check my measurements but I have Dyscalculia.
