Yesterday I shared the Cadbury’s Creme Egg holder I made for the Easter-themed InspireINK Blog Hop, if you didn’t get a chance to see everyone’s Easter projects click here.
Rather than putting all the measurements and photo’s into the blog post, I have done a separate tutorial for you.
Dimensions*
For the wrap
Poppy Parade cardstock – 2″ x 11″.
On the long side score each end at 4½”.
After scoring the cardstock punch each end with the Tag Topper punch or something similar.
Stamp the front and/or back of the holder, if required.
To make the Creme Egg holder
Poppy Parade cardstock – 3″ x 5½”.
Score the long side at ½”, 2 ½”, 3″ and 5″. Score the short side at ½” and 2½”.
Fold and burnish all the score lines.
You need to punch or die-cut a 1¼” circle in the centre of one of the 2″ squares, this was the right size for the Creme Egg to sit in.
I used the 1¼” circle punch to do mine.
To make sure the hole was in the centre I punched a 1¼” circle from a scrap of cheap cardstock, added a little bit of snail adhesive to it and positioned the circle in the centre.
Turn the punch over and align the punch with the scrap cardstock circle and punch.
Make sure all of the scrap cardstock circle is in the ‘punched area’.
Cut and mitre (notch) the tabs.
Add adhesive of your choice to all the tabs (as shown in the photo).
Adhere the 4 small tabs to the 2″ square that has the hole in the centre of it.
Fold the cardstock around and adhere the long tab (with the adhesive on it) on the inside of the box.
Add adhesive to the 2 remaining long tabs and adhere.
This holder would be great for favours and craft fairs too.

*When making any project I recommend you make it with cheap cardstock first because when someone is typing up lots of measurements mistakes can be made, we are human after all. I do double check my measurements but I have Dyscalculia.
