I have a really cute project to share with you today. This isn’t my idea, I watched a video tutorial by Sam at Mixed Up Crafts and I loved this box so much I went straight to my craftroom to make some.
My hands hurt when shaping the box the way Sam did so I have adapted it to make it easier on the hands.
I have also changed the size of the box, the finished dimensions of this one is 5-3/8″ x 3″ and the ‘box’ part is 3″ x 1-1/2″. It will hold 4 tealights or some fun-size chocolate bars. This box is also self-closing at each end.

In the video Sam pinched the box to get the diagonal folds but I found it hurt my hands after making just one box. I played around with some cheap card and I worked out where to add additional scorelines for the diagonal folds. This has helped shape the box a lot quicker and easier.
The cardstock I used is the new Shaded Spruce which is perfect for Christmas projects, I will be using this a lot in the next few months.
I layered a piece of Sparkle Glimmer paper and some Under the Mistletoe DSP and added these to all 4 panels. I was going to use the Envelope Punch Board to make a bow but I ran out of time.
I hope you like this little sweetie shaped box. These would look lovely in any colour and could be used for any occasion, they would also be a great masculine box. I’m going to make some of these to put on the dining table when we have our Christmas Dinner.
