I was looking back at some of my first blog posts and it was such a lovely trip down memory lane that I thought it would be fun to do a series where I remake some of the projects with more up-to-date products.
I’m calling the series Memory Lane Mondays and I’m starting with the project that was in my very first blog post.
In January 2016 I was a new demonstrator with a few Stampin’ Up! products and no intention of blogging. All I wanted to do was make my own cards and gift boxes/bags in the colours I like which would help save some money.
I didn’t have the confidence to share my projects with other crafters, I didn’t think they were good enough, but after I made the shirt card below I bit the bullet and added some photo’s of it on the Pootles Craft Forum Facebook page.
After several ladies asked for a tutorial I wrote my first 2 blog posts. The first post was about the shirt card (click here to see it) and was published on 30th January, 2016 and my second blog post was the tutorial (click here to see the original tutorial).
The original card I made was an A5 card but this time I have made the shirt card in both A5 and A6. I have also changed the size of the collar on the A5 card. I love the True Gentleman DSP and it was perfect for the cards, no hand-stamping the cardstock like last time : ) To change it up a bit I also added a bow-tie to the A6 card.
As always you can find a list of the products I used below. I will have a tutorial for both cards later in the week and if you use 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock I will have all the dimensions for you too.
I love both cards and I think they look so cute side-by-side. Do you too or is it just me being soppy?
