Feminine Life is Beautiful card

I can’t believe we’re into the last few weeks of Sale-A-Bration already.  Where did January and February go?

I have to say we have had a fantastic choice of FREE Sale-A-Bration products from Stampin’ Up! this year and I have had LOTS of fun playing with the new stamps, DSP’s, pretty shimmery/sparkly Ribbons, thinlit dies and embossing folder.  Did I miss anything out?

It’s difficult for me to pick 1 favourite product because I love so many of them but the Amazing You Bundle and the Springtime Foils DSP are 2 of my favourites.  Do you have a favourite?

Anyway, on to today’s card.  I have been playing with the Amazing You stamp set and this card is so pretty and feminine I wanted to share it with you.  When I saw that Powder Pink was one of the new In Colors I wasn’t too keen on it but now it seems to be one of my go to colours.  The coordinating ribbon is lovely, it’s easy to work with and it always makes pretty bows.

I coloured the stamp with the Powder Pink marker for the flower and the Pear Pizzazz marker for the leaves and then stamped it.  My downline Helen had lent me her Derwent pencils and I used these to colour the flower.  The sentiment is from A Mother’s Flair stamp set and was stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink.

To add texture to the card I embossed a piece of Powder Pink cardstock with the Layered Leaves dynamic embossing folder.   I fussy cut the flower and adhered this with a dimension then added the Powder Pink ribbon and my card was done.

I love how feminine this card looks, I didn’t foresee it turning out this pretty.  I hope you like it too.

Cardbase: Full sheet of A4 Power Pink cardstock cut at 4-1/8 on the short side.  Score at 5-7/8, fold and burnish.

Stamping Panel – Whisper White cardstock 3-7/8″ x 2-3/8″

Embossed Panel – Power Pink cardstock 3-7/8″ x 3-1/4″

*When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin’ Up! cardstock. I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made. When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock.*
