I can’t believe tomorrow is the last day of May, where has this month gone? I always have mixed emotions at this time of year. On May 31st we have to say goodbye to the retiring products and bundles but the following day we get to order the fabulous new products in the 2018/19 Annual catalogue.
The beautiful floral image on todays card is from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set which is retiring but I will definitely keep it in my collection.
I’d had my eye on this lovely stamp set for a long while so you can imagine my excitement when I received it from my upline Sam. It was a gift for my 2 year anniversary of being a demonstrator. The clear mount set has already sold out but the wood mount stamp set is still available.
The large Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Birthday Wishes for You stamp set. I was originally going to watercolour the flowers and the sentiment but I changed my mind and used colouring pencils instead.
I adhered both panels to the Powder Pink cardbase and added the Powder Pink 1/2″ finely woven ribbon (also retiring) to hide the join. I dotted a few Iridescent sequins around the flowers and my card was done.
I know I have used Powder Pink a lot recently but with the many fabulous new colours coming on June 1st I think Powder Pink will be put aside for a while. I haven’t had a chance to work with the new colours yet as I’m busy with Wedding Stationery but come the weekend it’s time to get those new colours out and have a play.
