Snowflake Showcase #4

Snowflake Showcase 1st Christmas as Mr & Mrs Boxes using stampin' up! products - by Lady Dee Crafts

Thank you for joining me for Project #4 of my Snowflake Showcase.

We’ve had 2 family weddings this year and for Christmas I’ve bought the newlyweds a lovely Bauble that has their names on and 1st Christmas as Mr & Mrs 2018.  I wanted to make some nice presentation boxes for them because when they arrived they were in a brown envelope and wrapped in corrugated card.

Because I was going to have to post one of the baubles I needed 2 different style boxes.  I made a lidded box that holds the bauble and battery operated tealight and a slim box that I can post.  I managed to make the slim box and the lid from one of my 12″ x 12″ sheets of handstamped DSP.

I think the Pool Party and gold give the boxes a Christmas feel.  Some of the snowflakes were inked with a gold stamp pad, stamped off onto scrap paper and then stamped on the cardstock.  There is also gold heat embossed snowflakes and swirls.

I designed the tags on my computer and printed them onto Thick Whisper White card.  I used the Stampin’ Up! colour conversion chart to change the colour of my font to Pool Party.   The chart gives you all the CMYK, RGB and Hexadecimal values.

The Thick Whisper White and Pool Party cardstock were cut to 2″ wide and punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch, this is my go to punch when I’m making tag’s.  I attached the tag with glue dots and added a gold bow.  The 1/8″ gold ribbon looks lovely with the gold heat embossing.

You can attach a piece of ribbon to the bauble, hang it on the Christmas tree and have the fairy lights glowing behind it or you can put the bauble on a stand and have a battery operated tealight behind it.  Doesn’t the bauble look pretty when it’s lit up?
