Tealight Pillar Candles Lidded Box – Original Idea

I can’t believe it’s time for another InspireINK Blog Hop, the months are going so fast. I know it’s September and you probably don’t want to hear the ‘C’ word but I’m going to say it, Christmas is less than 13 weeks away.
The theme for this month’s hop is 3D Projects which is my favourite type of crafting. The links for all the inspiring projects created for today’s hop are at the bottom of this post.
My project today is one of those that I’ve been wanting to make for the last few years but I would always run out of time so this blog hop was the perfect opportunity for me to finally make it.
Mine has a Christmas theme but they would be great for Weddings, Mother’s Day and many other occasions.
I know you already know this but I have to add it to protect myself:-
Please use battery-operated tealights only – naked flames and cardstock is a definite no-no, it’s a fire hazard

I was going to use cardstock for the outer part of the candles but then I saw the Plush Poinsettia Specialty paper on my worktop and decided to give it a try.
While I was working out all the dimensions and placement of the candles the idea of making it into a lidded box came to mind so I went with it.
I’m so glad I used the Plush Poinsettia Specialty paper because it looks amazing when it’s all lit up at night. Here are some photos.

This one is for my mother-in-law because her favourite colour is red and over the weekend I will be making another one for our home. I have a few ideas of what to put in the box, watch this space.
I hope you like the Tealight Pillar Candles Lidded Box, I’d love to know your thoughts on it. I will have the tutorial on Monday.
UPDATE: Click here for the full tutorial
Now it’s time to make a large coffee, get comfy in my recliner and take a look at everyone’s creations. We don’t get to see what everyone has made until the hop goes live.
The links are below for everyone taking part today, please be kind and leave them a comment.
I hope we have inspired you to do some crafting.
Have a great weekend.
