Following on from Mondays project I have another great sweet treat to share with you for the 2nd part of my Halloween 2019 series.
This quick and easy treat bag could be used for so many occassions and it’s a great way to use up your scraps of cardstock and DSP.
These would also be great to sell at Craft Fairs, just remember to add the ©Stampin’ Up! stamp on the packaging as per the Stampin’ Up! Angel Policy. You can find more information on the Angel Policy here.
I have used the 3″x 6″ Gusseted Cello Bags from Stampin’ Up! but use what you have in your craft supplies.
At the bottom of this post you will find all the measurements for the cardstock and DSP and how to adjust the sizes for different sized bags.

Working out the Dimensions for the Topper & Base
I needed to work out the sizes of cardstock I would need for
- the piece of card at the bottom of the bag that makes sure it stands up properly and
- the topper that will seal the bag
To work these out measure the width and depth of the cello bag, this gusseted cello bag is 3″ (w) x 2″ (d).
The Pumpkin Pie cardstock at the bottom of the bag is cut 1/8″ smaller – 2 7/8″ x 1 7/8″. To keep it in place I added a glue dot in each corner and adhered it to the bottom of the bag but you can also use double sided tape.
The Topper is 1/8″ wider than the cello bag but you can make it wider. As for the height of the topper you can go as tall or as narrow as you would like it. Mine is 1½” high.
My cello bag is 3″ wide so my Pumpkin Pie Topper is 3 1/8“ (w) x 3″ (h) and scored on the 3″ side at 1½”.
To attach the topper you can use double sided tape or staples. I used staples and then added DSP to the front and the back of the topper to hide the staples. The DSP is a scrap that I had left over and I cut it to 2 7/8″ x 1 1/4″.
