Pretty Petal Promenade Wedding Wallet

A few weeks ago we went to Geoff’s son Jamie’s wedding.  Kerry looked amazing in her wedding dress and we all had a great time.  Jamie and Kerry have been together for 20 years and as they have everything for their home they asked for a donation towards their honeymoon.

I wanted to make a pretty little wallet to put the money in rather than putting it in their wedding card.  I found a tutorial for a money wallet that was quick and easy to make.  The tutorial was by one of my sister stampers Ann Melvin of Positively Papercraft.  All the measurements and a link to Ann’s video can be found at the bottom of this post.

I knew I was going to use the Petal Promenade DSP because it just screams Wedding but there are so many beautiful photographic images to choose from and I couldn’t decide which one to use.

In the end I chose the pretty pink flowers, if you know the name of these flowers please could you let me know in the comments below.

The ‘May your love grow stronger’ sentiment is from the Floral Phrases stamp set in the Annual catalogue.  The ‘Mr & Mrs’ and ‘Congratulations on your Wedding Day’ are from a couple of retired stamp sets I kept hold of.

I had treated myself to some WOW Rose Gold Embossing Powder and this was the perfect opportunity to try it out.  After using my Embossing Buddy I stamped all the sentiments with Versamark and used the Rose Gold powder to heat emboss them.  I have to say they look really lovely in Rose Gold.

I found some pink organza ribbon amongst my craft supplies and I had just enough to wrap around the wallet and tie a bow.

I hope you like today’s project.  I am really pleased with how it turned out and I am definitely going to make some more for Birthdays and Christmas.  Along with all the dimensions you will find a list of all the products I used below.

Thick White Cardstock measuring 8-1/4″ x 11-5/8″

Score the long side at 2-1/8″, 5-1/2″ and 8-7/8″.
Score the short side at 1/2″ on both sides.

*When designing a project or when I CASE (Copy And Share Everything) someone’s project I ALWAYS make it with some cheap cardstock first. When typing up lots of measurements mistakes can be made, we are human after all. It doesn’t help that I have Dyscalculia. When making any project I recommend making it first with the cheap stuff.*
