Today I’m taking part in the 1st Pootler’s Blog Hop of 2019. All the inspiring creations you see today are made with products from the new Spring/Summer catalogue.
Please continue the hop by clicking through the list of names at the bottom of this post.
I make a LOT of masculine projects so when I get my hands on a new catalogue the first thing I look for is masculine stamps, DSP etc.
I was super excited when I saw the Classic Garage Suite, it’s perfect for my masculine projects and works really well with the One Wild Ride and Country Livin’ stamp sets.
The stamps, DSP and the most adorable little metal keys & spanners were the first things in my shopping basket.
Several years ago my Dad owned a garage and for his 75th Birthday last week I made him an Eclipse card and a keyring.
Even though I bought the DSP I wanted to make my own. On a sheet of A4 cardstock I stamped the car first (the largest image in the stamp set) and then stamped several of the smaller images to fill in some of the white space.

The keyring
I stamped the car and dad (Lined Alphabet stamp set) onto a Frosted sheet of Shrinkles and die-cut them. I coloured the ‘dad’ with a black Sharpie but decided not to colour the car.
I normally put the Shrinkles in the oven to shrink them but when I was making these I didn’t have an oven (it broke on Christmas Eve night) so I used my heat tool instead.

I made a little box for the keyring and used some of my DSP to make a little gift bag. The gift bag and the stamped layers on the card and the gift box are all from the A4 sheet of DSP and I still have a large piece left but I’m not sure what to do with it yet. Watch this space.

My dad phoned me when the card and keyring arrived, he loved them and he had so many questions starting with ‘Did you make my card?’ Even though he knows I make cards he thought I’d bought it.
