Pootler’s Design Team – Week 2

Thank you for joining me for Week 2 of the Pootler’s Design Team Challenge.  I’m having so much fun playing with the Crafting Forever stamp set, I have finished my 4 projects for the challenge and jotted down several more ideas in my notebook that I’m hoping to make in the next few months.

If you follow my blog you will know that I love colouring, I tend to spend a few days each week colouring stamped images.

When I colour I use either my watercolour pencils or alcohol markers.  I find colouring helps to relieve stress which lessens my M.E. pain.

Whenever I go away I always take my water colour pencils with me, I love my alcohol markers but they are too bulky to take.  I have a ‘Watercolour To Go Kit’ which is a Clear Mount Stamp Case that holds all my Stampin’ Up! Watercolour Pencils, a Blender pen, an Aqua Painter and a pencil sharpener.

I originally used a Wood Mount Stamp Case so that I could store the watercolour paper inside it.  This was great but every time I opened the case I had to re-organise everything whereas the clear mount case keeps everything in place.

I cut a piece of Watercolour Paper to make a colour swatch of each colour so that I can see the different shades and adhered this inside the box.

I adhered a C6 Whisper White envelope onto the back of the stamp case as a ‘pocket’ and it holds several 6-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ sheets of Watercolour Paper.

The clear mount stamp case keeps everything together, protects my water colour pencils and doesn’t take up a lot of room. Could it get any better than that?

If you would like to see the new projects I have made with this great stamp set check back here every Thursday in December or subscribe to my blog (details below).

For the insert you will need a 7″ x 10-1/2″ piece of cardstock or DSP.

I stamped the Watercolor Wash Background stamp with 2nd Generation Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then stamped the pot of paint brushes and both sentiments with 1st Generation Tuxedo Black Memento Ink .  I coloured the pot with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

*When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin’ Up! cardstock.   I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made.  When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock.*
