When I was making my swaps for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event that I went to in Telford earlier this month I used the Jolly Hat Builder Punch to make Christmas hats for my UPS teddy bears.
Whilst putting together 60 hats I had a ‘light bulb moment’ about Pokémon Pokéballs with Santa hats. I told my hubby and daughter about my mad idea and they both said “Do it.”
I have been making Christmas cards for quite a while and I really needed a break from making ‘sensible’ cards so I researched the different Pokéballs and went into my craftroom to have a play.
I used a 1-1/4″ circle punch for the first Pokéball I made but when I added the Christmas hat the Pokéball looked too small. I punched a 1-1/2″ circle out of Whisper White cardstock and placed the Christmas hat on it and it looked much better.
I liked it so much that I wanted to make a Pokémon Pokéballs Christmas Card because I knew the perfect person who would really appreciate it. I grabbed some scraps of Thick Whisper White, Garden Green and Real Red cardstock and made some more Pokéballs.
I used the Softly Falling embossing folder to emboss a 6″ square of Whisper White cardstock and adhered this to the cardbase with dimensionals.
