When it comes to making masculine projects it can sometimes be a struggle. I made this little gift bag with men in mind – masculine colours, no ribbon, bows or bling but it could also be given to the ladies too. These are quick and easy to make and they would be great for Craft Fairs.
I knew I wanted to use the Best Route Designer Series Paper (DSP) for this project and the design I chose was mostly Gray Granite.
I love the tone-on-tone effect so I stamped the bike from the One Wild Ride stamp set in Gray Granite ink onto Gray Granite cardstock and stamped the tyre tracks along the top.
For the top of the bag I die-cut one of the largest stitched dies in the Stitched Seasons Framelits dies, folded it in half and adhered one half to the back of the bag. I used tiny neodymium magnets for the closure.
If you are going to make these to sell and you are using magnets you must put a label on it saying it has strong magnets because they can affect a pace-maker and they are a chocking hazard for small children.

The Life’s A Journey Badge is from the same stamp set and I fussy cut this and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. There was a coordinating punch for this but I didn’t buy it because it was easy enough to cut around the image.
If you don’t have a motorbike stamp or you don’t want to use it go though your stamps to see what you have. You could use:-
- A vehicle/travel theme – Car, Lorry, Plane, Bicycle etc.
- A sports theme – Football, Cricket, Baseball, Darts etc.
- Drinks – Glass or Bottle of Wine/Beer etc.
- Games console or Games.
- Knights, Dragons, Castles.
- Work/Hobbies – Woodwork, D.I.Y, Tools,Fishing etc.
If you can think of any more ideas for a masculine theme please could you leave them in a comment below to help out your fellow crafters.
I hope this post will be of some help with your masculine projects. You will find a link to the products I’ve used and all the dimensions below.
I have another gift bag for you tomorrow, here’s a sneak peak.

Have yourself some crafting fun.

Dimensions*
Gray Granite Cardstock: 9-1/4″ X 6″.
Score the long side at 1″,4-3/8″, 5-3/8″ and 8-3/4″. Part score at 1/2″ down to 4″ and at 4-7/8″ down to 4″. I forgot to add the partial scorelines to this bag but I did remember to do them on tomorrow’s project and you will see the difference.
Score the short side at 1″.
Best Route DSP
I don’t like to waste my DSP so I cut a piece that was 4-1/8″ x 5-7/8″ (same size as a cardbase). I placed the die in the centre of the DSP and ran it through my Big Shot. After die-cutting the DSP I could adhere the negative piece to the front of a card.
*When designing a project or when I CASE (Copy And Share Everything) someone’s project I ALWAYS make it with some cheap cardstock first. When typing up lots of measurements mistakes can be made, we are human after all. It doesn’t help that I have Dyscalculia. When making any project I recommend making it first with the cheap stuff.*
