I have had a lot of Birthdays and weddings recently and my stash of gift card holders is nearly depleted. With Christmas coming and 20+ Birthdays in January it was time to make some more.
Instead of making a stack of little DSP pockets that are glued to the inside of either the notecards or narrow notecards I wanted something different but they needed to be:
- Quick to make but look like I’d spent a lot of time making them.
- Made with DSP that was suitable for many occasions.
Even though the Dashing Along DSP has a Christmas theme the designs work for many occasions and some of them are great for masculine projects too. After a little bit of working out I came up with a One Sheet Wonder (OSW) that makes 6 gift card holders from one 12″ sheet.
I used both sides of the DSP for the holders and for some quick decoration I added bows, punched flowers, stamped and punched penguins (that are so cute) and on some of the holders I added a sentiment. These were really quick to make and I love all of them.

For the One Sheet Wonder (OSW) you will need:-
1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ DSP
Trimmer
Scoreboard
Tear & Tape or other double sided tape.
- On each piece of 4″ x 5 3/8″ DSP score the long side at 1 ½” & 3 7/8″ and score the short side at ½”.
- Fold and burnish the scorelines.
- The image below shows where you need to cut, mitre and add your double sided adhesive.
- Fold the bottom tab up and then fold in the sides.
