My Swaps for OnStage April 2018

I will be so excited today that I’ll be doing a happy dance in my wheelchair.

I’m going to be at the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in Telford with Geoff and about 500 other demonstrators, he’s not into stamping at all but I need to have someone with me.

Stampin’ Up! holds 2 corporate events each year, one in April and one in November.  I have been to several OnStage events and I always have an amazing time.  I get to meet lots of other demonstrators and we swap like crazy.

Demonstrators who attend the event get a copy of the new 2018/19 Annual catalogue that starts in June, we get to play with some of the new products and we see the new In Colors for 2018/2020.  I get so excited I’m like a child at Christmas and so are many other demonstrators too.

I wasn’t going to make any swaps this time because I have been busy making the wedding stationery for Matt and Emma.  My son TJ and his Fiancée Hayley have also set a date for their wedding for July 2019 so I am working on ideas for their stationery too.

While I was doing an online shop I spotted multipacks of pocket tissues, there were 30 packs of tissues for £2.85 so I ordered 2 multipacks.  Got to love a bargain. Now all I needed to do was make 60 holders and prettify them.

I used my large guillotine to cut the cardstock and it cut through 60 sheets like a hot knife in butter.  After cutting the holders I had all these strips of cardstock left over so I used some of them to punch the layers for the sentiments.  I will use the rest of the strips for sentiments and small images, if  you follow my blog you know I don’t like wasting anything especially my Stampin’ Up! cardstock.

I wanted a For You sentiment for the front of the holder and I love the font in the Cake Soiree stamp set and the For You sentiment was the perfect size.  All the products I used are listed below, just in case you need to add any of them to your craft supplies.

I love these little pocket tissue holders I made and I hope the demonstrators I swapped with like them too.

To make the Pocket Tissues Holder*

Thick Whisper White Cardstock – 6-3/4″ x 5-1/4″

Score the long side at 1″, 3-1/8″, 4-1/8″ and 6-1/4″.  Score the short side at 1″.

Some of the holders just have DSP but if the background colour of the DSP was White I added a cardstock matt.

For the holders with just the DSP  the DSP panel is 4″ x 1-7/8″.  You can get 24 panels from 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ DSP.

For the holders with the cardstock and DSP I cut the cardstock to 4-1/8″ x 2″ and the DSP to 1-3/4″ x 3-7/8″.

Stamp Set in Clear Mount, Wood Mount and Bundles

*When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin’ Up! cardstock. I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made. When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock.*
