Thank you for joining us today for the InspireINK Blog Hop. The lovely Lisa Emslie decided on a colour challenge for us this month and she chose the colours by spinning her ink pad caddy and with her eyes closed she pulled out an ink pad and she came up with 3 colours that are really bright and cheerful.

The ladies on the InspireINK team are all very talented and I know there will be lots of inspiration for you so please make sure you click on the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of this post to see all their creations. All of the projects have been made using products in the 2018 Annual catalogue and some may have a sneak peak of the new goodies in the upcoming Autumn/Winter catalogue.
I’m calling todays project my Cards & Candles Gift Box. I have made it for a lovely lady who I first met when she volunteered at the group I run for disabled adults and she has now become an amazing friend. She always sends birthday cards, get well cards and thank you cards so I thought this would be the perfect gift.

I made a smaller version a few years ago when the A Nice Cuppa stamp set and dies came out. Do you remember the cute little teacups and cutlery? The idea for this was the recipient would always have a card to hand for different occasions as well as some nice little treats.
I went through my stamps looking for something that would work for a ‘many occasions card‘ and I pulled out the Healing Hugs stamp set and the Very Vintage (Hostess**) stamp set. I couldn’t decide which one to use so I went with both. The sentiments are separate that way the recipient can choose a card then choose the sentiment they want to add to it.
I needed 12″ cardstock for the box base and as I only had it in Bermuda Bay that was one less tough decision for me. I wasn’t going to stamp the base but I’m so pleased I did because I think the bouquet of flowers stamped tone-on-tone looks stunning.

Inside the gift box there are:-
- 10 note cards and matching envelopes.
- 6 each of 3 different sentiments that have double sided tape on the back of them – Hope you feel better soon, Thank You and Hope your day is as wonderful as you.
- 8 tea lights.
- A pack of biscuits.
- Small pen.

I used the Stamparatus for all the cards, the reversible plates meant I could have all the flowers and leaves lined up ready to ink and stamp. I wanted a green for the leaves so I mixed 1 drop of Bermuda Bay re-inker and 1 drop of Daffodil Delight re-inker to see what it would look like and it gave a really nice shade of green.
I hope you like my Cards and Candles Gift Box. I have really enjoyed making it even though there was a lot of measurements to work out. If I were to make another one I would make some masculine cards, it wasn’t until I was photographing all the cards that it dawned on me there was no masculine cards. Oops.
Please click on the ‘Next’ button below to continue hopping and maybe you could leave them a comment too.
I have the house to myself today so after I’ve hopped around all the blogs I’m going to spend the day crafting. What do you have planned for today?
I hope you have a great weekend.
Have yourself some crafting fun.
