InspireINK Blog Hop #31

Cracker Top Lidded Box Original Idea

It’s time for another InspireINK Blog Hop and this months challenge was to make a project using the new 2020/22 In Colors – Bumble Bee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight.

All the links for the projects created by the talented InspireINK ladies are at the bottom of this post.

I have a great project for you today, it incorporates my passion for making 3D projects and Christmas which is my favourite time of the year.  I couldn’t find anything like this on Pinterest so I struggled with a name but in the end I decided on Cracker Top Lidded Box.

I wasn’t keen on the Cinnamon Cider when I first saw it but I have been using it a lot for Reindeers, Gingerbread Men/Woman, Tree’s, Broomsticks etc.

I loved the Cinnamon Cider when paired with Bumble Bee or Just Jade.  The adorable little reindeer is from the Festive Post stamp set which is in the Autumn/Winter 2020 Mini catalogue.

Just Jade is a lovely shade of green, I can see me using it for a lot of my Christmas crafting.  I couldn’t decide between Cinnamon Cider or Misty Moonlight so I made both.

I haven’t used the Forever Fern stamp set yet so this was a good excuse to ink them up for a tone-on-tone effect.

I have saved my favourite colour combo until last, the Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight add a touch of elegance to this box.

The beautiful butterflies were stamped on 3 of the panels but for the front I wanted the butterflies to have some dimension.  I stamped them on a scrap of cardstock and used the Butterfly Duet punch that coordinates with the Butterfly Gala stamp set.

I’m so pleased with how this turned out, I don’t want to give it away because it looks so pretty.

I hope you like my Cracker Top Lidded Boxes, do you have a favourite?  Let me know in a comment below.

Now it’s time to make a cuppa, get comfortable and have a look at everyone’s inspiring projects.  Click on the demonstrator’s name or image to visit their blog.

I hope to have the tutorial finished in the next few days so watch this space.

Have a great weekend.
