InspireINK Blog Hop #27

Hi,

I hope you and your loved ones are keeping safe and well during these unprecedented times.  Medical advice given to Geoff was to self-isolate for 12 weeks during the Coronavirus outbreak and we are following this advice.

Our daughter Kayleigh was due to get married in May but it looks like the wedding is going to have to be postponed.

Today I’m taking part in the InspireINK Blog Hop and this month we have an Easter Themed hop.  At the bottom of this post you will find all the links for everyone taking part today.

Tulips and Two Chocolate Bars

I needed a nice way to package two x 100g bars of Aero chocolate that I was giving to a friend and I came up with this really pretty holder.

I love the Timeless Tulips stamp set, the DistINKtive images are so detailed and the Happy Easter, Happy Spring, happy, happy everything sentiment makes me giggle everytime I read it.

I wanted some dimension for the largest Tulip so I stamped the image onto the co-ordinating Pleased As Punch DSP, fussy cut it and adhered with some Dimensionals.  I also did this for the leaves.  There is a co-ordinating punch.

Undo the ribbon closure on the side of the holder and it reveals 2 pretty boxes inside.  I’m not sure whether to add something on these boxes, they look too plain to me.  What would you put on them?

The top of each box opens but I decided to glue the bottom in case the chocolate bar was too heavy and fell out.

This holder would also make a great gift for Mother’s Day, I would love to receive something like this.  Would you?

Use a different DSP and this holder would be great for any occasion – Get Well, Thank You, Christmas, Father’s Day,  Birthday etc.  It would be great for craft fairs too.

What do you think of my Tulips & Two Chocolate Bars holder?  It came out much better than I thought it would when I was designing it.
