Hello Cupcake Now or Wow cards

Now & Wow cards using the Sale-A-Bration 2019 Hello Cupcake stamp set from Stampin' Up! - by Dee Copus-Read, Lady Dee Crafts

I am loving the FREE Sale-A-Bration products we have this year, Stampin’ Up! have really spoilt us.

The Hello Cupcake stamp set is one of my favourites. The cakes look yummy in any colour and the Photopolymer (transparent) stamps make it easier to line up the images.

TIP: If you do struggle to line everything up try stamping the ‘cake layer’ in a dark colour e.g. Early Espresso. It’s easier to see the dark colour through the stamp and if you are slightly off the ink is so dark no one will notice it : )

For my ‘I need a card Now‘ everything was stamped on the white card base (one layer card). I thought the Sprinkled with Love would look better if it had a few sprinkles ‘falling’ from it and I’m so pleased I tried it because I love how it looks.

Every time Kayleigh and I make fairy cakes we always end up with hundreds & thousands or mini smarties all over the worktop so I had to add some sprinkles on either side of the cake.

My colour palette for this card was Poppy Parade, Early Espresso and Powder Pink. This is a great Valentine’s card.

For my ‘Got time to Wow‘ version above, I die-cut a stitched rectangle from some white card and a larger rectangle in Powder Pink.

I used my Stamparatus for the sentiment, that way I could make sure the sentiment was straight and it made it easier to stamp in 2 different colours.

I stamped sprinkles around the edge of the card base in 1st and 2nd generation Powder Pink ink. After adhering the focal image I added a Powder Pink bow.

My colour palette for my Wow card was Early Espresso, Flirty Flamingo and Powder Pink.

I always stamp an image on the envelope too, no naked envelopes. It doesn’t take long and there’s nothing better than receiving a handmade card in a pretty envelope.
