In January I made Geoff’s Mom a Mother’s Day Gift Set as part of the Pootler’s Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop.
Last Sunday it was Mother’s Day here in the UK and instead of wrapping each gift individually I took the easy option and made a gift bag to put everything in.
To get the perfect placement for the teacup and teapot I cut and scored the cardstock before doing the stamping. There was quite a lot of weight going in the gift bag so I used 300gsm white cardstock instead of Stampin’ Up! cardstock.
My original idea was to have little flowers coming from the spout but when I saw the little love hearts they just felt right. I stamped the hearts in Bermuda Bay ink to coordinate with the gifts and ribbon.
I thought about adding some rhinestones but after I added the teacup-shaped gift tag I didn’t think it needed anything else.
After putting everything inside the gift bag I stamped some teacups on white tissue paper and put it in the top of the bag. I kept the card separate because I like to hand it to the recipient.
The finished dimensions of the gift bag are 5″(w) x 7″(h) x 3¼”(d). This is a good size gift bag and you can fit lots inside it. What do you think?

To make the Gift Bag
1 piece of cardstock 12″ x 10¼”. Score the long side at 3¼”, 8¼” and 11½”. Score the short side at 3¼”.
1 piece of cardstock 5½” x 10¼”. Score the long side at 3¼”. Score the short side at 5″.
What a sweet suite! I love this set. I would love to use this set in a workshop, but what about the ladies who are not into girly stuff? I don’t know how to reach everyone in a class, hmm!
