It’s lovely having cardstock, designer series paper (DSP), ink, ribbon and embellishments that all coordinate but what do you do when there isn’t DSP in the design or colour you need? You grab some stamps and ink pads and make your own
Today’s card is made using the fabulous Hostess Stamp Set Tranquil Tulips. I have totally fallen in love with this stamp set, no matter what colour you use for the Tulips they always look beautiful.
I always use Thick Whisper White cardstock for my cardbases but Stampin’ Up! have listened to their demonstrators and we now have Very Vanilla Thick cardstock and 12″x12″ Very Vanilla cardstock in the 2017/2018 Annual catalogue.

A couple of weeks ago we went to the wedding of 2 of our very good friends. Four days before their big day they came round to ask my husband Geoff if he would be Best Man and he told them he would be honoured.
On the morning of the wedding Geoff and I picked up the Groom and took him to the Registry Office. The Bride looked stunning, her wedding dress was gorgeous and the ceremony was beautiful. On the day of the wedding it’s normally the Bride who’s nervous but the Groom was so nervous he got his name wrong. When the registrar said “can you say your name again but in the right order this time” he nearly got it wrong again.

Every year I set myself a goal to start making my Christmas cards early but I never do. Are you the same? I know Christmas is 5 months away but when Stampin’ Up! announced the early release of the Carols of Christmas stamp set and coordinating Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies I knew it was a great opportunity for me to finally be able to achieve my goal.
The stamp set and dies are in the upcoming Autumn/Winter catalogue which goes live on September 1st but you can get your hands on them from August 1st. You can also use your Bonus Days vouchers to purchase them. You’ve got to love Stampin’ Up! for their amazing promotions. Continue Reading →
Thank you for joining me today for the final instalment of my Pretty Label Punch Showcase. If you would like to see the other projects I have made using the Pretty Label punch click on the photos at the bottom of this post and you will be taken to the blog post.
When I was using the Pretty Label punch for the bottom of my screen card I came up with another use for the punch, it could be used for bookmarks.
My daughter Kayleigh had bought a set of Mr & Mrs Keyrings for her friends wedding in October but the box they came in was really cheap and tacky so I offered to make a ‘Book Style’ box to put them in.
Thank you for visiting today. Just a quick blog post because later today my daughter Kayleigh is taking me away for a weeks respite. I have M.E. and for the last few months I have been struggling with chronic fatigue and pain so I’m hoping a week of rest will recharge my batteries.
My daughters best friend is getting married later this year and she asked me to make a box for a set of Mr & Mrs keyrings she had bought for them. I have seen quite a few ‘book style’ boxes being made recently and as I have never made one before I wanted to give it a try.

I love to send out handmade gifts to my customers to show them how much I appreciate their custom. There are lots of UK Stampin’ Up! demonstrators they could shop with so I like to let them know I really do appreciate them choosing me as their demonstrator
Firstly I would like to apologise for not sending out a blog post last Sunday. I have been so busy trying to organise/set-up a monthly workshop in my area as well as trying to find time to make Birthday cards for my Son and my Mother-in-Law as well as make her Mothers Day Card and present.
Thank you for joining me for todays Sale-A-Bration Simple Sunday. Today I am focusing on the 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper Assortment pack. The pack has 4 sheets of each of the 3 colours – Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugarplum and the sparkle on them is amazing.
Thank you for joining me today for my 5th Sale-A-Bration Simple Sunday project. There are 26 days left to get free Sale-A-Bration products so if there are Stampin’ Up! products you have been waiting to order now is the time to place that order and get free products too. You can choose a free Sale-A-Bration product for every £45 you spend (before shipping). Sale-A-Bration items are only available whilst supplies last.
I found it quite challenging to come up with ideas on using the Carried Away DSP without having a hot air balloon stamp or die. I love the Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away Thinlits dies, they are on my Wish List but every time I go to order them I find something else. Does this happen to you too?
I have had so much fun with the ever so cute Yummy In My Tummy stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I have 3 blog posts showcasing this stamp set. I have 2 cards and a 3D project I made with these fun stamps.
As soon as I saw this stamp set I fell in love with it so much that I ordered it as soon as I was able too. Demonstrators can order products 1 month before they become available to customers (it gives us time to play with the products and prepare projects).
A while ago I made a Halloween Train for The Pootler’s Blog Hop that I was taking part in. A lady called Maggie left a lovely comment for me on the blog post and she asked if I would make a Christmas Train? Christmas is my favourite time of year and I love a challenge so I said I would make the train.
When I was making my swaps for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event that I went to in Telford earlier this month I used the Jolly Hat Builder Punch to make Christmas hats for my UPS teddy bears.
Whilst putting together 60 hats I had a ‘light bulb moment’ about Pokémon Pokéballs with Santa hats. I told my hubby and daughter about my mad idea and they both said “Do it.”
On Saturday I took part in the Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge Blog Hop. Each month one of the members on the team is chosen to set the challenge which can be a theme, a colour challenge or they can design a sketch. This month Sally was chosen to set the challenge and this is the sketch she gave us.
