Butterfly Gala Thank You Card #simplestamping

This time of year we’re so busy preparing for Christmas we have little time to craft.  I’ve hardly been in my craftroom but when I had a spare 10 minutes I would pop in and do a bit of stamping.

One of the cards I made was a simple 1 stamp set 1 ink pad card.

I love butterflies and had been itching to try the new Butterfly Gala stamp set (available on January 3rd 2019).  I needed a thank you card but the beautiful butterflies would make a great birthday or wedding card.

When I’m making my thank you cards I normally make a stack so for quickness instead of buying a pack of cardstock and a pack of envelopes I get the Note Cards and Envelopes.  The twenty 5″ x 3½” note cards are also pre-scored which saves me having to cut and score the cardstock. For me, they are a must-have in my craftroom.

Sometimes we forget that new crafters may only have a stamp set or two and a few ink pads. It can be costly to buy everything needed to make a project that uses:-

* A punch or 2* Die-cut elements (you’ll need a Big Shot too)
* Designer Series Paper (DSP)* More than 1 stamp set
* More than 1 colour of cardstock* More than 1 ink pad
* Ribbon* Embellishments
* Markers for colouring

  1. Hi Lady Dee! Enjoy the crafting with your nephew . . . beautiful activity for this time of the year. I have just learned about Ann Melvin quitting StampinUp. I think lots of people agree that StaminUp is exagerating with their prices . . . probably it is the Brexit . . . but we are not to pay for it. Prices indicated in American Dollars are used in the same amount for Sterling Pounds which makes the product much more expensive and then converted into Euros!!!! . . . have never done it, but I think China products will win . . . in spite of quality!! Happy crafting!!!

I love to read what you think of my projects so please let me know. Thank you for visiting today, I hope you will be back soon. Dee x
