Yesterday I had a card making day and after making a few of the usual rectangular card I wanted something different. When I looked through my dies I came across the Sizix Circle Framelits Plus dies that I’ve had for a while.
I haven’t found a use for the larger circle dies until now, these pretty Butterfly dies are huge. I made a 6″ card base and the die-cuts just about fit.
I partially die-cut the card base and die-cut another 6″circle to add to the front of the card. On the back of the card I cut about 1/8″ off the bottom, this stops the card from rolling (shown on the right-hand side of the photo below).
The base layer of the butterflies is die-cut in Pacific Point cardstock and the top layer is royal blue foil cardstock I had in my craft supplies.
I used the Subtle Embossing folder on the 6″ circle before adhering the butterflies. It’s the first time I have used this folder, it gives a ‘Linen look’ to your cardstock and I really like it.
I hope you like today’s card, it was fun to make and I will definitely be making some more.

Love your Circle Butterfly Card Dee. The embossing folder makes a lot of difference to the base of your Circle. Super colour choice too. Hugs xxx
