When I first saw the Blended Seasons bundle early last month I wasn’t going to order it because I didn’t think it was worth me spending the money on something that would retire at the end of August but now I have it I definitely think it is worth adding to your craft supplies.
I have been having so much fun with it and the images in the stamp set are pretty large and great for colouring in.
I’m frugal with my card and I keep every scrap of it if I can punch a flower with it and with the 3 stitched frame dies you don’t get any waste because the dies give a beautiful stitched edge on both the positive and the negative die-cut pieces.
I went through my inspiration drawers and found a couple of lip balms but they were different sizes so I made 2 different sized holders.
The smaller lip balm measures 2-1/2″ x 5/8″ and I thought the Lovely Lipstick cardstock was a great match, I do love this colour.
The larger lip balm is just under 2-3/4″ x 3/4″ and as it was blue I thought I’d make a more masculine looking holder. I went with Blueberry Bushel cardstock and stamped the image with all the leaves tone-on-tone all over the die-cut before scoring the cardstock otherwise you end up with gaps in the stamped image.
The little box inside each holder is a great way to use up some of your scraps of card because you only need a small piece of card.
Instead of putting a lip balm inside maybe you could add a small sweet treat instead. They could be used for any occasion and would look great as favours at a wedding, baby shower etc.

Lovely Lipstick Box for smaller Lip Balm
Cardstock for the Holder – 3-7/8″ x 1-7/8″. Score at 5/8″ on all 4 sides.
The finished dimensions of the box are 5/8″ (h) x 2-5/8″ (w) x 5/8″ (d)
Place the long side of the die-cut along the top of your score board and line up the 2 points at the 1-1/2″ mark. Score at 2-1/8″ and 2-7/8″ then fold and burnish.
Add adhesive to the bottom of the holder, centre it on the die-cut and between the 2 scorelines and adhere. I used liquid glue because it gave me a bit of time to move it to exactly where I wanted it.
The finished dimensions of the holder are 3-3/8″ at the widest point x 2″ (h) x 3/4″ (d).

Cardstock for the holder – 4-1/4″ x 2-1/4″. Score at 3/4″ on all 4 sides.
The finished dimensions of the box are 3/4″ (h) x 2-3/4″ (w) x 3/4″ (d)
With this die-cut you need to place the long side of the die-cut in the top left hand corner of your score board and score it at 2″ and 2-7/8″ then fold and burnish.

*When designing a project or when I CASE (Copy And Share Everything) someone’s project I ALWAYS make it with some cheap cardstock first. When typing up lots of measurements mistakes can be made, we are human after all. It doesn’t help that I have Dyscalculia. When making any project I recommend making it first with the cheap stuff.*
